PHYSICAL EXERCISE: IMPORTANCE AND TRAINING OPTIONS

FFitness

It is common knowledge that physical exercise is very important: the medical community recommends it, those who train feel better, and studies indicate that everyone benefits from regular physical activity. However, less than 10% of people still train regularly (excluding federated sports, from youth categories to professional sports). The WHO states that up to 5 million deaths could be avoided each year if everyone engaged in regular physical exercise. We are therefore left wondering: how can we not motivate more people to train regularly? Some studies point to frequent reasons why people choose not to exercise: Lack of time Economic factors Not knowing what to do Shyness among others…   In these same studies, we can see a strong tendency to address these barriers and find solutions. One of the most frequent is reduced training times, fewer sets, and more intense workouts. Of course, this may not be suitable for all practitioners, but almost all studies suggest that it is better to do even 5 minutes a day than to do nothing at all. How can the choice of equipment play in favour of gyms regarding this problem? Easy: by having training areas where equipment can be used for quick and effective classes. Using fitness equipment to create a training circuit where each client performs the same exercises allows for better management of fitness machines and addresses the need for lack of time and not knowing what to do. In addition, we can increase client motivation, as an easy and intense workout provides a good feeling at the end of the session. Day after day, HIIT workouts, Personal Training, circuit training, etc., are gaining ground in gyms. Knowing how to choose versatile equipment and machines that allow for both traditional and faster workouts is essential. Furthermore, training staff to know how to create a good training dynamic in the exercise room, for example, by using less common machines, creating circuits that facilitate mobility within the room, and using some auxiliary training equipment, creating easy-to-execute, safe, and fun routines, is also crucial.
