Technical flooring made of recycled rubber tiles is highly sought after today due to its ease of installation.
The rubber flooring sold in 1mx1mx1cm tiles is undoubtedly the most used. Thicker flooring may be an option if the installation is in a weight drop zone or if it is on upper floors and there is a need to increase sound insulation.
The flooring can be installed by anyone; however, we recommend application by specialized technicians. Some errors in application can result in increased costs, such as cutting errors or if a sealant is not applied between tiles; over time, with the movement of customers and the exercise machines themselves, the tiles will start to move and become misaligned with gaps between them.
Joining the tiles to each other with a sealant is very important when installing rubber flooring. This transforms the various tiles into a single piece, thus preventing dirt, water, and sweat from getting under the floor, making the space cleaner and free from unwanted odours. This joining of tiles does not glue the tiles to the floor; it only connects them to each other, making it possible later to cut between them and move the flooring to another location if necessary.
During an installation, gym machines sometimes need to be moved and shifted from their locations. If the flooring is not joined, the probability of the rubber floor tiles moving is very high, and rectifying the flooring after the exercise equipment has been placed on it is an almost impossible task.
